Pura Vida (Wikipedia Definition, paraphrased)...Pura Vida, literally translated means "Pure Life" but means contextually something approximate to "Full of Life", "Purified life", "This is living!" It can be used as a greeting, as a word of farewell, to express satisfaction...Costa Ricans use the phrase to express something akin to a philosophy of...enjoying life slowly and celebrating good fortune of magnitudes small and large alike.

Happy 31st Birthday!
(Molly) I'd love to include a great picture of Patrick in honor of his 31st, but alas, internet is too slow this afternoon. Born on this day back in 1978, he is a fantastic husband, son, brother, friend. He is a burly mountain man, who's also quite the cook/laundry do-er. When you travel with him, he always has snacks for you. He will always carry the water and most of the food to make your pack lighter - he might even sneak them out of your pack so you don't feel like a sissy. He's the real renaissance man. And I'm so glad to have hum turn 31 with me here in New Zealand (only wish you could all be here, to!) And, as Patrick said (actually about turning 30) - "I'm not stressed about turning 30 [or 31] ... Your 30s is when all of the good stuff happens!" Yeah, Patrick!!
